ICA First Aid Academy – Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using any services provided by ICA First Aid Academy (“ICA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling in our courses, using our website, or engaging with our staff, you agree to be bound by these terms.
 

1. Licensed Training Provider

ICA First Aid Academy is a Licensed Training Provider of the American Red Cross. We deliver training in accordance with the standards, procedures, and curriculum approved by the American Red Cross and other recognized certifying bodies. Certifications are issued either directly through the American Red Cross or ICA First Aid Academy, depending on the course selected.

 

2. General Disclaimer

ICA First Aid Academy provides health and safety training designed to educate individuals on CPR, First Aid, AED, and related topics. Certification confirms participation and demonstrated competence at the time of the course but does not guarantee future performance. ICA is not liable for any injury, incident, or outcome arising during or after course participation.

 

3. Eligibility and Participation

• Participants must be at least 13 years of age unless otherwise noted.

• Participants must disclose any physical or medical conditions that may affect their ability to complete course requirements.

• ICA reserves the right to deny or revoke participation for any reason, including behavior deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

 

4. Course Enrollment & Attendance

• Pre-registration and full payment are required to secure your seat.

• Arriving late, failing to complete the full course, or missing required components (including online modules for blended learning) may result in forfeiture of certification and payment.

• Participants are expected to complete the course in full to receive certification.

 

5. Certification

• Certification is only issued to participants who meet all course requirements and demonstrate required skills.

• ICA issues certifications approved by the American Red Cross and/or ICA First Aid, based on course content.

• Certificates are typically delivered via email within 2-3 business days.

• Certification validity ranges from 1 to 2 years depending on course type.

6. Rescheduling & Cancellations (by ICA)

• ICA may cancel or reschedule classes due to instructor illness, low enrollment, weather, or emergencies.

• In such cases, you will be offered a new class date or a refund

 

7. Code of Conduct

• Professional behavior is expected at all times. This includes respect toward instructors and fellow participants.

• ICA reserves the right to dismiss any participant for disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe conduct. No refund will be issued.

 

8. Liability Waiver

By registering for any ICA course, you acknowledge the physical demands involved and accept responsibility for your participation. You release ICA, its instructors, partners, and affiliates from liability for injuries or adverse outcomes resulting during or after training.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All training materials, course content, brand assets, and digital materials are the exclusive property of ICA First Aid Academy. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or reproduction is strictly prohibited.

 

10. Privacy Policy

All participant information is used strictly for training, certification, communication, and legal compliance. ICA does not sell or share your data unless required by law or certifying organizations such as the American Red Cross.

 

11. Changes to Terms

ICA reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updates will be posted to our website, and continued participation implies acceptance of the revised terms.

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• Cancellations made 7+ days prior to the scheduled course will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.

• Cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled course. No refunds will be granted.

• Rescheduling within 72 hours of the class date is allowed but will incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

• If a participant is a "no-show", no refunds will be granted, and rescheduling will require a $50 fee.

• Registering for a class that is within 72 hours of the course date is considered a final sale and is non-refundable.​
